At Atlas Physical Therapy & Performance, we are passionate about developing the next generation of movement and rehabilitation professionals. As a teaching-focused clinic, we proudly partner with the University of Wyoming and various Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs to provide meaningful, hands-on clinical education experiences.

We believe great clinicians are built through mentorship, critical thinking, and real-world application, not just observation.

Our Commitment to Future Clinicians

Clinical education at Atlas goes beyond shadowing. Students are immersed in an environment that blends:

  • Measurement-based physical therapy

  • Strength & conditioning principles

  • Performance-focused rehab

  • Patient-centered, holistic care

Our goal is to help students grow not only in skill, but in confidence, communication, and clinical reasoning.

Key Highlights

Small Clinic Setting

At Atlas, students experience clinical education in a small, high-touch environment where they are truly part of the team — not just an extra observer.

In a smaller clinic, learning is more personal, hands-on, and mentorship-driven. Students work closely with their clinical instructors, see the full patient journey, and gain insight into both the clinical and business sides of running a modern practice.

Measurement-based Care

For students, exposure to measurement-based care at Atlas means learning how to:

  • Collect and interpret objective performance data

  • Integrate testing results into clinical reasoning

  • Track meaningful change over time

  • Support patient education and shared decision-making

  • Apply data to real-world return-to-activity scenarios

Community Engagement

Atlas Physical Therapy & Performance is deeply committed to community engagement as an extension of clinical care and professional responsibility. At least once per quarter, we actively participate in or host community-based initiatives that promote movement, injury reduction, and long-term athletic participation.

For students, this exposure offers hands-on experience in:

  • Preventive care and performance screening

  • Patient and athlete education

  • Community outreach and professional leadership

  • Program development beyond traditional one-on-one visits

From our current student:
”Hello everyone! My name is Jasmine Scott, and I am thrilled to share that I will be an intern at Atlas during the Spring 2026 semester. From the moment I was introduced to the facility, I was drawn to its mission, values, and leadership. In search for an internship, my goal was to find an opportunity that aligned with my lifestyle and aspirations while allowing me to gain meaningful, hands-on experience working directly with physical therapy patients. Atlas embodies all of those qualities, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the team.”
